    Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Education (2 credits)

    This course offers a comprehensive understanding of critical issues in equity, diversity, and inclusion (DEI) within Myanmar's K-12 education system. Students will compare DEI practices between American and Myanmar schools, examining the unique challenges and approaches in each context. The course will address diversity issues related to the economy, education, culture, and religion. Additionally, students will explore structural, organizational, and systemic strategies for promoting DEI in educational settings.

  • This course explores the psychological principles underlying effective educational practices. Students will analyze key theories and experiments in psychology, focusing on areas such as motivation, learning, thinking, and problem-solving. The course also delves into self-regulation and the social context of education, providing a comprehensive understanding of how psychological factors influence teaching and learning. Through constructive analysis, students will gain insights into the foundational elements that drive educational success.

  • This course examines how relationships among teachers, families, and communities impact children's learning and school adjustment. It provides both theoretical and empirical perspectives on the roles of teachers, parents, and community agencies in supporting education. Students will explore models and methods for fostering positive interactions among teachers, parents, and students. Additionally, the course highlights various resources available to support children's education within their families and communities.

    The University of North Dakota (UND) is a flagship public research university in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Dakota Territorial Assembly established it in 1883, six years before the establishment of the state of North Dakota. Admission Requirements
  • An application form
  • Private school teacher ID card (or) a recommendation letter from a freelance teacher (if the applicant is a freelance teacher)
  • Older than 18 years
  • A desktop/laptop computer, stable internet connection, and reliable electricity
Program Requirements
  • Successful completion of three courses
    • Instructional Design and Technology​ (2 credits)
    • Educational Leadership and Management (2 credits)
    • Curriculum Development and Instruction (2 credits)
  • Successful completion of any other requirements
  • Program Award

    Upon completing the program requirements, educators will receive six credits, a diploma, and a transcript from the University of Taxila. If educators opt to pay additional fees, they can earn six non-degree graduate-level professional development credits from the University of North Dakota and receive an official transcript. Please contact student affairs for payment options.

  • Program Scholarship

    Taxila will award a few full scholarships for candidates with exceptional academic and professional backgrounds. Prospective students are encouraged to apply as early as possible to be considered for a full scholarship. However, the cost does not include the commencement fee if the student chooses to participate in the ceremony.
