    This CPD module provides educators with frameworks to make U.S. History, Civics, Economics, and Geography interconnected and relevant. The focus is on moving beyond memorization to developing the critical thinking skills required for the GED exam and informed citizenship.

    This skills-focused workshop addresses the unique demands of the GED RLA test. Teachers will gain practical techniques for improving adult learners' comprehension of informational and literary texts, constructing evidence-based extended responses, and mastering grammar and editing in context. The session highlights time-efficient strategies for integrating reading, writing, and language skills to maximize student success.

Admission Requirements
  • Targeted toward teachers with prior GED teaching experience.
  • Educators seeking formal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
  • Individuals interested in a deep understanding of the American education and teaching system.
  • Those wishing to learn from international-degree-holding professors and experienced educators.
Program Requirements
  • Successful completion of synchronous sessions via Zoom and LMS activities
    • RLA: Thursday and Friday (8:00 PM – 9:30 PM)
    • Mathematics: Sunday (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM) and Monday (6:30 PM 8:00 PM)
    • Science: Monday and Wednesday (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM)
    • Social Studies: Monday and Thursday (7:00 PM – 8:30 PM)
  • Teachers are encouraged to complete at least 15 hours of CPD per year to maintain professional standards.
  • Program Award

    Upon completing the program requirements, educators will receive six credits, a diploma, and a transcript from the University of Taxila. If educators opt to pay additional fees, they can earn six non-degree graduate-level professional development credits from the University of North Dakota and receive an official transcript.
