    This foundational component covers eight discipline areas designed to provide a well-rounded academic base. Key areas include English Writing (ENGL 101/102), Oral Communication, Mathematics and Statistics, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Students also explore Critical Thinking, Natural Sciences, and Arts and Humanities, including specialized modules like Myanmar Music and Culture to ensure contextual relevance.

  • Major Core Specialization (110 credits)

    This intensive segment focuses on professional mastery across six major areas. It includes foundational logic and mathematics, core teaching methodologies, and specialized subject matter expertise. The curriculum is designed to transition students from theoretical understanding to practical application, ensuring they meet both American and Myanmar educational standards.

    Internship and Practical Experience (3 credits)

    A vital component of the program where students apply classroom theories in real-world educational settings. Program Requirements

Successful completion of the 4-year curriculum:

  • Successful completion of the 4-year curriculum
    • General Education Courses: 34 credits
    • Major Courses: 110 credits (including Foundation, Core, and Electives)
    • Internship: 3 credits
    • Total Credits: Required for dual graduation from both FHSU and Taxila.

    Upon successful completion, graduates will be awarded two distinct degrees:

    B.S. in Education from the University of Taxila

    B.A. in English-Teaching from Fort Hays State University (FHSU)
